Hey, want me to draw you something special?

So something I find very funny is that my most popular post ever by far is about that time the archiving company I work for was digitizing a bunch of porn, at a time when that particular company is essentially phasing out my department without formally laying me off or in fact giving me any sort of clear information about whether I still have a job. Conveniently, I’m also recovering from surgery and can’t pick up any gig work that requires me to lift objects or drive. So! I am taking commissions! I am basically always available for commissions, but especially now!

If you would like to commission me, my prices, samples, and contact info are on my website, here!

I am very fast and my prices are reasonable. I also have prints of many of my illustrations, including all of the cards I’ve completed so far for my tarot project, on my INPRNT store here! There’s even a sale happening at the time of this writing, so it’s a great time to get yourself some prints! Thank you for reading this! Tell your friends!!

“what if people transition and then regret it?” ok. let’s do that with everything. no more straight marriages until the heterosexual divorce rate is below the detransition rates

I think the hardest part of pet loss for me is still feeling like I need to talk about it, almost a month later. But I also feel like I’m just saying the same things over and over, and I know they haven’t really helped me feel better, so I simultaneously don’t want to talk about it.

Grief is weird.

If grief is all of the love that has nowhere to go, then I have a lot of it.

haters will try to convince you that theres only two months left of 2022 but really we are still in 2019 in every way that matters.  2023 means nothing to me

Not only is there a furry working on Covid-19 vaccine research efforts, but said furry is being followed by one of the world’s most influential living economists

This is just awesome.

Chise is an amazing and reliable source for debunking COVID myths and they even broke down everything that’s in the vaccines and what it does in layperson terms. Its absolutely fantastic. Also it’s 2021 can we stop hating on Furries yet?

I hate that as Indigenous people, we have to slowly explain the concept of LandBack to basically every colonizer.

Like no we’re not going to just throw you out, or put you in camps, or any of that shit. We just want to be able to take care of our ancestral land and be the ones in charge of protecting it.

Like I know these people were raised with a colonial mindset but after a while I just start to lose sympathy.

Like oh you’re worried about having your home violently ripped out from under you?? What a fucking tragedy.

I wasn’t gonna add to this, but like, no, I wanna add to this.

What will change for you, Whitey McWhiterson, if LandBack takes place?

Not a whole fucking lot.

You might be incentivized to switch to less-polluting modes of transportation, such as biking. Gas might be discouraged.

The environment might be prioritized.

You might become a citizen of, say, Mi'kma'ki instead of the USA.

Your kids might be taught an Indigenous language in schools.

History class would be a lot more up front.

But your day to day life? Very little will change. You’re not gonna be kicked out if your house. You’re not gonna be rounded up and put into a camp. You might be required to have the minimum basic decency towards the environment. It will be the Sovreign Peoples running the show.

But you, Joe Shmoe, will be left alone to live your life.

Which is more than we can say your people did for us.

Even if I was to look at it in a completely self centered way and set aside all the numerous correct moral arguments for Land Back: as a settler who isn’t rich or powerful, what do we even have to lose? I don’t own anything! I don’t own land or a house, am I really going to get bent out of shape about trying to get the land back to its people —who, btw, stewarded it a thousand times better than the ghouls in charge now? Like I already have nothing under the current system, why wouldn’t I fight for a better world when it’s not like I have a stake in this one? If you, as a white prole, are worried about Land Back, it’s entirely the white supremacy talking, much like people who defend capitalism without owning capital.

#theres obviously much better moral arguments than this#its just a cherry on top to see people who are trapped paying rent to some investment company worried about Land Back#like buddy come on

Yeah you’ve got a really good point here. The colonizer mindset is poisonous. Poor people of all non-Native races and classes - have absorbed the idea of Land Back as a threat through cultural osmosis.

And I won’t deny there are those of us who are angry. I’M angry. Some days I’m so furious about the injustices still being done and people blaming us for our own genocide that it’s all I can do to keep moving. There are those of us who would wish the comeuppance upon those who have oppressed us for generations - who would want them gone. Honestly? I can’t blame them. That anger and resentment is fully justified and valid.

But we, mostly, know how it felt. We know that a lot of modern people also aren’t here by choice. We have enough empathy to understand that pain and not want it to be inflicted on others, even if the thought of eye for an eye might give us temporary catharsis, even if people as individuals still treat us like shit to this day.

Our cultures are built on empathy and understanding, for better or worse.

Poor people, even whites, should be the greatest ally. Y'all have nothing to lose but your chains. It’s the capitalists - the money-hungry resource pigs who want to bleed the Earth for all she’s worth until there’s nothing left - that we want gone, so we can nurture her again.
